Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled UI/UX Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of user-centric design principles and the ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. You will be responsible for creating beautiful, intuitive, and innovative user interfaces for our latest Unreal Engine-based title.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance the user experience.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that UI/UX designs are properly implemented in the game.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven UI/UX design experience in the gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interactive design.
- Experience with design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to present and explain design decisions to team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
- Understanding of the technical limitations and liberties behind design decisions, and an ability to communicate these to stakeholders.
- Experience in a live service/online game environment.
