Job Description:

The successful candidate will be solely focused on our Alderon Games Launcher, a NodeJS Electron-based game launcher and updater application. You will play a significant role in developing and maintaining this application, ensuring its robustness, reliability, and scalability. This role involves designing and implementing client-side logic for the launcher, working within a live service environment. The ability to work in a fast-paced and reactionary manner is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize the Alderon Games Launcher using NodeJS (Electron).
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software defects.
• Participate in code reviews and respond well to constructive feedback.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tools, technologies, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a NodeJS Developer, specifically with Electron.
• Strong understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficient knowledge of version control systems (Git / SVN).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a reactionary manner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue, etc.)
• Knowledge of client-side architecture and networking.
