Alderon Games provides a flatpak file for better steamdeck support.

Switch to Desktop Mode

The install needs to take place in desktop mode instead of gaming mode.

Installation

Download the .flatpak file on the steam deck from here. After that open the file and you will be greeted with the installation window of Discover. On the top right you can click Install to install the launcher, if you already have an older version installed and are upgrading to a newer version you first have to uninstall the old version before you install the newer version. (Don't worry your settings and the game won't be deleted) After you have installed the launcher you can close the Discover window.

First use

Open the start menu (SteamOS logo on the bottom left). Search for Alderon Games Launcher, right click on the search result (see the image) and click on Add to Desktop. Now you have a quick and easy way to open the Launcher. Open the Launcher by either clicking on the shortcut we created on the desktop or open it through the start menu and login to your account.

After you have logged in you can optionally select what version of the game you want to have installed on the bottom right before you install. If you do not know which one you need, just leave this on the default option. Click the install button to start the installation process.

In the new window you can optionally adjust the path of where the game is installed. When you are happy with the location you can click on the install button as seen in the image below.

When the installation is done you can play the game through the launcher in Desktop mode but if you want to play the game in Gaming Mode we will explain that next.

Creating a shortcut to the launcher

You can create a shortcut to the launcher by searching for Alderon in the start menu. Then right click (or left trigger button) when hovering over it to open the menu, then click on Add To Desktop.

Adding the game to steam

After installing the game you can add the game to Steam by clicking on the gear icon next to the Play button. You then click on the Add To Steam button and it will add the game to your steam library. After that is done you just need to restart Steam completely or reboot your Steamdeck.
